Afero IoT Platform uses Murata’s pre-certified 1LD technology, showcased at CES 2019
Afero, the next-generation IoT platform company, today announced its secure edge stack with support for the Murata pre-certified 1LD technology. This collaboration will be featured in the Murata booth at CES 2019 (LVCC South Hall MP26161.)
The addition comes as part of the recent Afero 2.0 release, which provides a fully-integrated environment for IoT software development, connectivity, device management, data management, analytics, security, and application enablement. The new platform delivers advanced features, 80% reduction in time-to-market, and best-in-class onboarding.
“We are pleased to offer architectural support for Cypress WICED with our 2.0 release, providing our customers with cost-effective, expanded choices in their secure connectivity solutions,” said Joe Britt, Afero CEO and co-founder.
Murata’s Wi-Fi and BLE combo chip module, combined with Afero hardware-root-of-trust security and secure edge stack, provide new connectivity options for IoT customers. Additionally, the support for WICED’s proven solution provides a cost-effective path for secure and easy-to-onboard connectivity.
“Murata is thrilled to continue our collaboration with Afero on their new release. We are excited to continue to watch IoT expand its reach and security capabilities, and Afero is leading the way in allowing new customers to utilize these tools in their connected devices,” said Mehul Udani, Director, Connectivity Solutions, at Murata Americas.
Afero has built a strong set of partnerships across the IoT technology spectrum as it leads a new approach for end-to-end IoT, with notable projects such as Kenmore and D-Link. In 2018, an independent study of the IoT patent landscape, conducted by Parola Analytics, placed Afero in the Top-5 organizations globally.
The Afero next-generation IoT platform accelerates time to market, provides hardened security from sensor to cloud and from factory to customers, simplifies onboarding to help maximize customer connections, and uses data ontology to streamline machine learning. The Afero Platform is supported by elastic, multi-cloud services that deliver reliability, responsiveness, and a new software engineering model that unifies embedded, mobile, and cloud development.
Afero has assembled world-class mobile, hardware, security, and cloud veterans from Google, Apple, Nest, Danger, Microsoft, Amazon, Twitter, and Netflix. To learn more about Afero, please visit www.afero.io.
